PostSubject: COMPLETE Guide on how to hack the fuck out of ur Wii and Brawl.   Mon Nov 05, 2012 11:36 am

This is a guide on how to sucessfully hack ur wii the safe way and add custom textures/psa/characters into Brawl.

STEP 1. You need the Homebrew Channel there is two ways to get it installed on ur wii.

either take the traditional route and install it via Smash Bros.Brawl Custom stage way. (requires you to format ur SD AND delete all custom stages)

OR the New Way using LetterBomb. (Requires you to Format SD card only. you can keep ur custom stages)

http://bootmii.org/download/ = Traditional way

http://please.hackmii.com/ = Letter Bomb

Now to use Letter bomb u must 1st enter your wii's Mac Adress so they can send you the bomb. then download it. (it dosent Matter what wire u cut. they do the same thing)

Now Put Everything in the download into ur SD root. the private folder and the .elf files and shit.

Then turn on ur wii (dont put in card yet). check to make sure you have System 4.3 update otherwise ur gonna brick ur wii. if you dont have Wi-fi acess to ur wii dont hack it. ur gonna go find a system update and try to update it that way and still brick ur wii cuz theres no way around this. IF YOU DONT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS ON UR WII. DONT HAX IT. My cousin tried. i know what hes trying to get for XMAS!!! LOL!

anyways moving on put ur SD in if its 4.3 (4.3U,E,S,and J any other letter is fine). check ur messages on ur wii. go back to yesterday. there should be a red envolope with a picture of a bomb in it. press it and read. it says if you paid for letterbomb in any way,you been scamed and should report the police or something gay like that. (btw most hacks on the wii is legal so if yo did pay for it and decide to snitch...you suck.) wait for it to say press 1 to continue. press it. then install hombrew and bootmii. then the program wil redirect you to the Homebrew channel. if u see a bunch of bubbles...you sucessfully hacked ur wii.

now to add a cheat device or any other apps you must make these following folders to ur SD card.

SD card/private/wii = i will explain this in a min.

SD card/apps = this is for the homebrew channel.

SD card/codes = this is for gecko.

now with this post i included a download to gecko. download it and extract it. now find the HBC folder. then take the gecko folder in there and put it in SD card/apps

now restart ur wii, place sd inside and load up homebrew channel. now when you load it u shud see gecko in there. if not and u see just bubbles...you did it wrong.

now gecko is installed.

ok to get codes try google. when you find codes if its text copy and paste them using code manager thats also included with gecko. if its a gct file like the one you got, put it in SD/codes. the RSBE01 is Brawl's codes. i think it has more than the main code...idk...but u got the main patch code for brawl in there. (also once you finished making codes for that game, find the game id and rename it to that and put it in codes folder).

Now the difficult part. (if ur not hacking brawl ur done).

the File patch code for brawl loads any textures stored on ur SD Card. that is once you put it in the right folders. you need to make the following directories. SD:/private/wii/app/RSBE/pf
now inside pf make these folders:

fighter
item
sound
stage
module
menu
toy
final
system

Now, inside fighter you would create a specific folder for each character based on how their names are stored on the disc, the list for that is below.
So, a directory for Captain Falcon would look like this: private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/captain
Captain Falcon: captain
King Dedede: dedede
Diddy Kong: diddy
Donkey Kong: donkey
Falco: falco
Fox: fox
Mr. Game & Watch:gamewatch
Ganondorf: ganon
GIGA Bowser: gkoopa
Ike: ike
Kirby: kirby
Bowser: koopa
Link: link
Lucario: lucario
Lucas: lucas
Luigi: luigi
Mario: mario
Marth: marth
Meta Knight: metaknight
Ness: ness
Peach: peach
Pikachu: pikachu
Captain Olimar: pikmin
Pit: pit
Ivysaur: pokefushigisou
Charizard: pokelizardon
PokÈmon Trainer:poketrainer
Squirtle: pokezenigame
Ice Climbers: popo
Jigglypuff: purin
R.O.B.: robot
Samus: samus
Sheik: sheik
Snake: snake
Sonic: sonic
Zero Suit Samus:szerosuit
Toon Link: toonlink
Wario: wario
Warioman: warioman
Wolf: wolf
Yoshi: yoshi
Zelda: zelda
Green Alloy: zakoball
Yellow Alloy: zakochild
Blue Alloy: zakogirl
Red Alloy: zakoboy

Once you have all the folders you want for the characters you want textures for, visit a few texture sites (listed below) to grab cool textures you like (this list will likely grow over time)

here is the link to the ultimate site with all the mods and hacks. (if you want you can register but you dont have to,register if ur interested in making ur own shit)

http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php

Once you have the textures you want, you need to name the texture file the color you want to replace. Each number represents a color of that character, so, 00 = default, 01 = first color, 02 = second color and so on. Now, the order of the colors can be quite confusing for each character so here is a convenient list of that below.

Here's an example of what a Captain Falcon texture file would be named if it were replacing his 01 color: FitCaptain01.pcs

And here's what the directory would look like with that finally included: private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/captain/FitCaptain01.pcs

Every character does NOT need their .pac file but, you need to name the .pac file the same way you named the .pcs file except without the .pcs extension (just the .pac extension instead) so Captain Falcon's .pac file would look like this: FitCaptain01.pac (of his first color, you need to change the number according to what you set it to for the .pcs, this is merely an example, it will not always be 01). The characters who DO need their .pac files are below:

Samus/ZSS
Zelda/Sheik
PT
Bowser
Wario

.pac files are mostly used for the other modes outside of versus modes, so, you do not need them if they are not the characters above. The reason why the characters above need them are for their transformations, otherwise, the textures get lost in the sea of the abyss when you transform or switch (PT). Also, for ZSS, you may need to use a CSS code with her to get her to work better.

If your textures did not work, make sure your directory is set up accordingly or you didn't mess up on the color choice, check EVERY color if you really don't know which one you put it on. The codes DO work, you're just doing something wrong.

Otherwise, you have done it! Congratulations! You have successfully put textures on your Wii! These textures are in no way permanent, you have to load the codes each time you want access to them and NOBODY WILL SEE THEM ONLINE UNLESS THEY HAVE THE SAME CODES ON AS YOU AND THE SAME TEXTURES AS YOU! Also, Gecko OS has a 256 line limit (due to the Wii's RAM limit) so please try not to add anymore codes than that after the texture codes have been applied. Textures also do not show up in replays if you watch them without the codes on (in other words, the replays do not store texture data). However, Snapshots DO save the textures even without the codes on (this is obvious) so you can show off to your friends that you can do texture hacking now!

And no, this does not work for custom music. i dont know how to hack music.

looks like i did everything right. all i need now is the DAMN DISC!

OH! Robotnik i know how to hack music. its simple you can download them from the kitty vault. once you got them u put them in pf/sound/brstm and your gonna have to name it to the letter of the song you want to replace. example X02= Brawl menu theme i change ur file to X02 if you want that song to be ur menu theme. heres the full song list. also if you cant find the song u want, request it from me. if you look under my signature you see: Downloads/Hacks/Current Hack:That song i just uploaded. use that to know wen ur song is available that u requested and also find out wut songs im making.
